The drawing represents the first complete form of Pace’s artwork, which was born and developed when the studies are no longer able to provide the spark to the “rebel kid.” The first graphic collection – ‘Elogio al Segno’ (Praise to the sign) – aged 1953-54, is a series of Indian ink drawings with scratchy and tough tract, that anticipates some fundamental future topic, as evidenced by the selection below.
